lunch in Worcester

My lunch in Worcester section is perhaps my favourite category for a number of reasons which I won’t bore you with now. Check out my Worcester lunch reviews and decide where you want to eat. There are a few reviews below for now and there are plenty of restaurants on my to-do list.

my latest lunch reviews

If you are looking for a pub lunch in Worcester or the surrounding countryside, then you are in luck. My last three Worcester lunch reviews have been in local pubs and I have six pub lunch reviews in total – so far. There would have been seven pub reviews. However, one local pub which has previously enjoyed a good reputation, served up a meal which was just OK. Based on the standard of the dishes, we would be unlikely to eat there again. But, given that they served plain white sliced bread with the soup, we certainly won’t be back. So, their review didn’t make it onto this website!

lunch reviews

Prior to looking for suitable cafés, pubs and restaurants in and around Worcester for my Faithful City lunch reviews, I hadn’t heard of three of the eateries listed above. The Meeting Place opened at around the time I started my Faithful City Food reviews. I had a lovely lunch at the Galton Arms – a very traditional country pub to the east of Worcester in the village of Himbleton. However, at a completely different eatery with quite different food, the Hangar Café in the centre of Worcester also proved to be a great place to lunch. None of these are likely to be found in the top five results pages for a search of Lunch in Worcester. Faithful City Food was set up to help find these hidden (and not so hidden) gems.

The Masons Arms in Wichenford (on the road to Martley) had set menu options at reasonable prices. It also features other menus such as à la carte, tapas, senior, and vegan. Because of their very good vegan menu, the Masons Arms is mentioned in my blog post vegan restaurants in Worcester. In Good Roots I had a lovely vegan dish that made it onto my list of favourite dishes. The most recent review was at the Bank House Hotel in Bransford where they serve a stunning starter, the Superfood Salad.

A recent addition to the lunch in Worcester category is my review of The Bell Inn, Broadheath. During our lunch visit, they were offering two courses for £10 and the food was excellent.

I guess what I am saying is that there is something for everyone in the cafés, pubs and restaurants in and around Worcester. Even better, why not try all the reviewed eateries over the next year?

And please tell them that you heard about their restaurant from Faithful City Food!

Three of the eateries in my ‘lunch in Worcester’ category also get a mention in my blog post Vegan Food in Worcester – Identity Crisis. This blog may give you food for thought (yes, it is both an intentional and overused pun!). The blog will be updated frequently as I sample more vegan dishes. Furthermore, it is possible my views will change over time – we are allowed to change our minds!

There are two new blogs that may be of interest. Vegan restaurants in Worcester includes cafes I have reviewed. I had a lunch dish at the Bank House Hotel that was so nice, I made it at home. You can see the recipe, my photos, and my comments in my blog vegan superfood salad – made at home. Also on the blog are details and pictures of the superfood salad as made by a follower of this website.
