Should I leave a tip?
Page under construction - Should you tip in the UK?
The short answer is yes, and no. Indecisive? Possibly. ‘Should you tip in the UK?’ is not an easy question to answer. There are three important questions that need to be considered. Is the waiter receiving a fair wage? Are you, the customer, paying a fair price for the food and service? Is the restaurant making a reasonable profit?
A fair wage for waiters.
I struggle with the whole concept of tipping.

Christina’s Pan fried chicken breast stuffed with Mozzarella and wrapped in bacon served with fresh minted couscous & seasonal salad was as nice as it sounds. She found the whole dish to be very tasty. The chicken was cooked perfectly and she enjoyed the couscous and salad. One criticism is that the bacon was too salty.
It is not often that I have steak, but the Chargrilled Sirloin steak with a marinated tomato salad and chips proved to be a good choice. I like steak well done. The Bell managed to cook it to my taste and maintain the meat’s succulence.
