Worcester city centre restaurants

The beauty of eating in Worcester city centre restaurants is that, once parked, there is so much choice. From one end of town to the other, there is an abundance of independent eateries – all very different from each other with their own quirks, charms, atmospheres and, most importantly, menus.

There is a large and ever-growing choice of independent Worcester city centre restaurants. Even in times of Covid, a number have opened their doors for the first time. For example, the Meeting Place café opened in September 2020 right in the middle of the pandemic – read my Meeting Place lunch review. Through their flexibility, most will still be here after Covid providing a rich variety of cuisines.

Whilst there are many restaurants serving dinner in the city centre, I particularly like the choice of restaurants and cafés offering breakfast and lunch. A notable breakfast dish I tried recently was in my Coffee Warehouse breakfast review. And this place couldn’t get much more central than number 12, Foregate Street! It was in this café that I first tried Menemen – a traditional Turkish dish of poached eggs on spinach, red onions, peppers, and garlic, served with toast and cooked in, and eaten from, the pan. For more about this dish, check out my Coffee Warehouse breakfast review.

In among the UK-wide chain restaurants, the independents thrive with their unique menus and charm. My dinner reviews on this page are limited in number. However, there is a long list of restaurants I will be reviewing over the coming year – so bookmark this page!
